Numerous studies reinforce the fact that organizations, large and small, struggle to execute their strategic plans. Harvard researchers Robert Kaplan and David Norton found that 9 out of 10 strategies fail due to poor execution. While researching his book Leading Change, John Kotter found that 3 out of 4 business improvement plans lost steam and failed.
